The article is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the birth of Vadym Mykolaiovych Radchenko, a famous Ukrainian mathematician, professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The article highlights his academic career, scientific and pedagogical activities, as well as his significant contribution to the development of mathematics education in Ukraine, in particular, the Olympiad movement. Special attention is paid to professor Radchenko's longstanding work with gifted students and his significant role in preparing Ukrainian teams for the International Mathematical Olympiads.
